Celebrate a season of reading with Summer Spotlight At Home Edition:

We have an entire summer of exciting at-home events and mail-out/pickup options for you and your family.
- Request a Summer Spotlight at Home packet complete with an age-specific 16-page activity book and reading log, at-home projects, and incentives, all customized to your child's age range. You can pick up your packet at your preferred library or have it mailed to you. Limited to families in our library service area.
- Look below for more information on library events including virtual performances (featuring library staff and some favorite performers), weekly online activities, mail-out and pickup events such as arts workshops and escape rooms
- Earn entries into our summer prize drawings for Barnes & Noble gift cards
Why ParticipateEngaging in learning activities this summer will get your kids ready to go back to school in the fall *fingers crossed*. Summer Spotlight At Home features many fun and educational screen-free and real life activities.
How To Participate
Summer Spotlight At Home Paper PacketFill out this online form to request a Summer Spotlight at Home packet complete with an age-specific activity book and reading log, at-home projects, and incentives to be picked up at your preferred library or mailed to you. Supplies are limited; activity packets are currently available for all ages.
Online Reading Log Option Hosted by Beanstack, Summer Spotlight Online is an easy way to track your reading all summer long. Stay motivated with virtual badges and be entered into the same prize drawing.
Grownups: There is an online reading challenge so that you can read (and compete) along with your kids.

|Tuesday||Family Trivia based on our Summer Spotlight at Home weekly theme|
|Wednesday||Workout Wednesday - help Silver Medal Sarah go for the gold with a variety of physical activities to try from wherever you are this summer|
|Thursday||Special Performances featuring some of our favorites including Lalo's Lunchbox, the Jolly Pops, and more|
|Friday||Friday Science Fun! - explore a different science concept with some Professor Prchal and library staff|
|Saturday & Sunday||Family Fun Break - each week we'll have a family challenge for you to complete together. We may even ask you to share a photo of the results!|
Each full-color activity book contains 12 weekly activities, reading logs, and entries into our prize drawings. Anyone can download and print the booklet below. Families in our Scott County Library service area can request an activity packet containing the booklet and additional activities here to be picked up at your preferred library or mailed to you. Supplies are limited; activity packets are currently available for all ages.
