Volunteering - Adults (Year Round)
We occasionally work with volunteers to support programs and other library activities.
What to know:
- Please contact the branch manager at your preferred library to see if there are any opportunities available.
- Review our Adult Volunteer Information Sheet (PDF) to see what type of volunteer tasks are available.
- If you feel we are a good fit, you will need to become an approved Scott County volunteer. This process may take several weeks because a reference check and a background check is required. Visit Scott County's My Impact page to create an account and apply. Make sure to save your login credentials, you will continue using them if approved to sign in and reserve shifts.
If we don't have any opportunities available, we encourage you to visit Scott County's Get Involved page to learn about other opportunities to make a difference countywide.
Volunteering - Youth (Summer Only)
We typically offer a youth volunteer program during the summer called "Spotlight Crew" to support our annual summer reading program, Summer Spotlight. Spotlight Crew members are aged 14-17 and provide support with programming during our busiest season. Spotlight Crew applications for Summer 2023 have closed for the season, please check back in Spring 2024.
