Just for Teens!

Come to the library to read, relax and have fun! All Scott County Libraries have a special area just for teens. Use the free Wi-Fi, do some homework or check out our great teen collection of books, music and graphic novels. Stop by your library to see what’s there just for you!

What's Happening at Your Library?

Don’t miss these teen events. Nothing listed? Try checking all of our events, we've got lots of events open to anyone of any age.

Find a Place to Study!

All of our libraries (except Belle Plaine) have private study rooms that one to three people can use on a first-come, first-served basis. You can learn more about them on our Meeting Rooms page. We also have larger meeting rooms that you can reserve for bigger homework groups or group projects.

Free Internet and Wi-Fi!

All libraries have high-speed wireless Internet access for your laptop, smartphone or other device! Need to print something? Bring your library card with you to use a computer connected to a printer.

Want to Volunteer?

Our libraries use volunteers ages 12 and up during the summer to help with the library’s summer reading program and events. Volunteers typically work 15-30 hours over the 9 weeks of the summer reading program. Contact your local library in early April for more information.

Experienced summer volunteers are also eligible to serve on the Library's Teen Advisory Board (TAB), which hosts events and raises money during the school year. If you volunteered at the Scott County Library this summer and want to receive a TAB application or more information, contact our Youth Staff

Looking for a Library Job?

Sometimes libraries hire teens for shelver positions. Check with your library to see if there are any shelver/aide positions open.
