Stop by any library to get your free library card!  Lost your card? We can replace your card for free a few times each year.

To apply for a card, please bring a picture ID and your current address to the library. If your current address isn't on the ID, just bring in something official with the address on it, like a piece of mail or a bill. Under 16? Bring in a parent or guardian with the information needed to apply for a card.

The application form is available to fill out and print ahead of your visit. Bring the form, your ID, and current address to the library.

NEW IN 2020: Online Library Card Registration
Use this online form to register for a library card. Staff will process your information and email you your library barcode number and PIN when it's ready. We will then mail you your physical card to the address you provide.

FYI: If you live in the LeSueur County part of New Prague and are taxed for Scott County Library services you can get a Scott County Library card.

Live Elsewhere in Minnesota


Bring the library card from where you live and register it with us. You can check out any item we have in the libraries and use most (but not quite all) of our online resources.
