Who Can Use
The Scott County HHW Facility is open to residents of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, LeSueur, Ramsey, Scott, Sibley, and Washington Counties.
Small Business Owners
An appointment is needed to drop off waste from small businesses. If you have business waste, please visit the VSQG Small Business Waste Management page for more direction and to make an appointment. Churches, non-profits, schools and government entities are considered businesses for this program.

Know Before You Arrive
- Check the What We Accept page to ensure we'll accept the items you wish to dispose of.
Drop Off Instructions:
- When you arrive at the HHW Facility to drop off items or materials, follow the instructions on the signs. (Stay to the right and pull under the overhang to drop-off your materials).
Weather Related Closures
The HHW Facility will likely close without advance notice in the event of bad or dangerous weather (for example, if the National Weather Service issues a Blizzard Warning, Winter Storm Warning, Wind Chill Warning, etc.). Should that occur, the HHW Facility will then reopen for the next scheduled operational day. View Collection Schedule.

In partnership with Scott County, Dakota County is planning to build a new facility located in southern Lakeville to offer services to residents of both counties. The new facility will meet the needs of a growing county and provide convenient services for residents of eastern Scott County, as well as Lakeville, Farmington, Burnsville, Empire, surrounding townships.
