What is "Scott County Delivers"?
"Scott County Delivers" is the next logical step in the "Delivering What Matters" continual improvement cycle. With this approach, we look at our performance data at the service level, not the department level. Every department has the opportunity to play a role in helping the County achieve its goals. For example, both the Library and Public Health provide early childhood services to families. Though their daily work is very different, these two departments can both meaningfully contribute to a common objective of improving early childhood literacy rates in Scott County.
In short: There are a variety of programs, processes, and departments that contribute to our desired outcomes - and this approach brings greater visibility to all of them. Taking a holistic approach helps unify our work, deepen our understanding of what is working well, and decide where we can concentrate our efforts on making improvement.
Materials and Videos
Since January 2017, the Scott County Delivers presentations have been made before the Scott County Board of Commissioners as part of its regular agenda, typically on the third Tuesday of each month (with some exceptions), and is televised just like any regular meeting.
Scott County Delivers materials are available prior to the Board Meeting. A video presentation of the session will be available after the meeting at the link below.
