Stop Invasive Species

We need your help to stop the spread of invasive species.  Below is a collection of resources that outline what you can do to help.

Aquatic Invasive Species

  • This list of aquatic invasive species from the DNR will help you identify them.
  • Follow the MN DNR's Clean, Drain, Dry guidance.  This guidance is based upon current laws.
    • An online course is available to help everyone comply with the law and stop the spread of aquatic invasive species.
    • Here's a list of DNR's best tips to prevent spreading aquatic invasive species.
    • If you find zebra mussels or anything else that looks suspicious attached to your watercraft equipment, please contact the DNR at 1-651-259-5100.  Please ask to speak to an Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Specialist
  • Scott County AIS Prevention Plan describes the strategies Scott County and it's partners will implement to stop the spread of AIS in and outside Scott County.  The 2021-2022 AIS Prevention Plan can be viewed here.  The 2020 metrics report to the MN Department of Natural Resources on activities paid for with the AIS Prevention funds can be found here
