“Now more than ever before, we all need to come together as a community – to support each other, to respect each other, and to make sure than everyone is safe in their homes, neighborhoods, wherever we go. National Night Out provides us a wonderful opportunity to really listen to and engage with each other, person to person, neighbor to neighbor. From approximately 5 to 9 p.m., residents are encouraged to lock their doors, turn on their outside lights and spend the evening with the neighbors. Your event does not have to be large or elaborate. It can be as simple as having a conversation in your neighbor’s yard. The important thing is to talk to your neighbors and plan to get together.
